As Mars moves through the zodiac, it offers twelve different perspectives to engage us in the present moment. as Mars enters Sagittarius (November 4, 2025 at 5:01 a.m. PST, until December 14), it’s time to skydive – As we prepare to jump out of the plane, we’re not entirely sure if the parachute will open.
This would be a good thing. Mars in Sagittarius craves adventure and freedom in turn. Give Mars in Sagittarius a backpack and a dog, and it will wander happily with little sense of direction. Sagittarius does have a reputation for being prone to accidents, usually because we misjudge the terrain or our own strengths and abilities. Uranus is a planet of unexpected developments, a planet of road construction that you can’t see on the map. But isn’t that what Mars in Sagittarius wants?

Every year, as the Sun moves through Scorpio, we are faced with scary realities and possibilities we would rather avoid. The days are short, the shadows are long, the trees are losing their leaves, and melancholy can easily take over. But at this momente Full Moon in Taurus (November 5, 2025, 5:19 AM PST, 13°22′ Taurus/Scorpio), life has regained some flavor and color. We are reminded of life’s blessings, not just its dangers. We find ourselves opening a window to simplicity, joy, letting go of obsessive anxieties, and allowing the world to simply be what it is.

As usual, Pluto wants us to believe that much of what happens in life is beyond our control. But Mars sextile means we have the opportunity to influence things that may seem beyond our control. It all comes down to how persuasive Sagittarius’ storytellers are and how effectively we harness the immense power of emotion.
love who you are
This week, Venus enters Scorpio (November 6, 2025 at 2:39 pm PST through November 30). Venus in Scorpio dislikes trickery and resists all efforts to control her. She asks us to find beauty in who we are and what truly attracts us.
For my family of awesome women, this can sometimes be a challenge. We were never refined; we were fat, fierce, and loud, and we laughed until we couldn’t breathe when we were together. We’ve all been married to long-suffering men who spent at least one important holiday with their families and knew exactly what they were getting into.
Back in late 1988, Scorpio comedian Rosanne Barr debuted a sitcom starring a TV family that, to this day, remains the only one I’ve ever seen that closely resembled my own family. (The exterior of the Connors’ home was actually filmed in my hometown.) Forget the real-life Roseanne and the baggage and controversy she brought with it; forget the real-life Roseanne! I love Roseanne Conner, she’s funny, sassy, bossy, opinionated and irreverent. I recognized the woman, her daughter, her husband, her couch. It’s not a pretty show, but it looks real to me. I love that Roseanne isn’t defined by her size. I love that she never apologizes for taking up too much space in the world.
Venus transits Scorpio over the next few weeks, rejoicing in your authenticity. Remember, your life is not a democracy—it’s a wild, uncensored garden of color. Plant what you love out there and love yourself.
Is it love or obsession?
This week’s Square between Venus and Pluto (November 7, 2025 at 7:44 PM PST, 01°31 Scorpio and Aquarius) can be beautiful and affectionate, symbolizing depth of feeling, true love, and affection for things or people that are difficult to love. But this is a combination that must be approached with awareness and caution, as Pluto has a way of sucking up all the oxygen in the room with its focus and control. It’s a fine line that separates deep love from painful obsession.
This is a quick transit, affecting only a few days. But take a moment to examine whether what you’re feeling is true love or a need for control.

Back on July 7, Uranus (which has been in Taurus since May 2018) entered Gemini, which is a pretty big shift for matters related to communications, technology, and general innovation. Immediately, artificial intelligence was all over the news. Will it ruin the world, or just make it easier for you to write some sales copy for your business?
Uranus went retrograde on September 5, barely entering Gemini; and this week, it returned to the familiar Taurus (November 7, 2025, 6:19 pm PST), it’s the same old tune again: What is the value of something?
Looking back on the years of Uranus in Taurus, as the physical gradually shifted to the digital, we seemed to have moved away from the value of things, even our money. A long time ago we were far away from the gold standard, but now, even further away from cash and coins themselves. As a business owner who relies heavily on digital banking, I can’t in good conscience complain; but I find myself returning to paying for groceries or dinner out with cash just to get the tactile experience of handling money.
Regardless, Uranus will re-enter Gemini next spring (April 25, 2026) and I will never experience that in Taurus again in my lifetime. So I’m going to spend the next six months or so revisiting what these things mean to me, and the things that I may have distanced myself from. cash. Earth. Material beauty.
Archive past
For weeks, a stack of client files had been balancing precariously on my desk. The cat knocked them over at least once. But I simply don’t have room in my filing cabinet to store them. So yesterday, I spent a few hours picking through inactive client files and filing new ones away.
Browsing through these files is like a trip down memory lane. It also reminds me of either how busy I’ve become or how sluggish my memory has become, because some names just don’t ring a bell. I look at someone and think, wow, I must not have seen this person in years – only to look inside and realize I met them six months ago and my notes brought back all their stories.
This is the type of project I love when Mercury is retrograde (November 9, 2025, 11:02 AM PST) – Events involving time travel, commemorations, and processing paperwork. Mercury will go retrograde on November 29th (between 6°51′ Sagittarius and 20°42′ Scorpio). During this retrograde period, try to find a few hours here and there to let go of some of the past and make room for the new.
