How far have we come with the intention of the new moon? How do they help us move forward in our work and service without being weighed down by perfectionism? Let’s be honest, sometimes it’s easier to focus on all the things we focus on No done, or where we feel we didn’t do enough. This is kind of like the nature of the waning moon. And Cancer, the sign of this waning moon, has a special gift for maintaining these feelings. But ideally, we should focus less on what we have accomplished or what we have yet to accomplish, and more on what we have accomplished learned Judging from the lunar cycle.

Too many gold stars?
I live with a Libra who is an excellent cook. Coming from culinary school, he said, “If a little bit of an ingredient is good, then four times the ingredient is definitely better.” (Did I mention he has a Taurus moon?) Often, the results are amazing. But every now and then, things get out of balance, with too little rice for vegetables and rice, or too much lemon for a pasta salad that’s almost inedible.
Balance is best in cooking and most things. But is this also true of love ruled by Venus? Can one have too much money or beauty, also ruled by Venus?
Well, yes, actually. And at the same time Venus in Libra (October 13, 2025 at 2:19 PM PDT to November 6, 2025), even finding balance in these things is important. In a relationship, one person may love more than the other, or be much more beautiful than the other, or bring more wealth to the other. But we don’t all have to bring the same qualities to a relationship, as long as both ends of the scale eventually balance out.

Even if your relationships are going well, this aspect can reveal uncomfortable truths about your fundamental values. Our politics, the people who inspire us, the way we make and manage money…any of these can suddenly be revealed as naive or wrong.
Venus moves very quickly, so this effect only lasts a few days. But it may trigger a larger shift in how and who you cherish.

Volcanoes can remain dormant for thousands of years and still be capable of causing massive damage. Roman writers described Vesuvius as being covered in gardens and vineyards before it erupted in AD 79 and destroyed Pompeii.
When Pluto is retrograde (since May 4), almost half of the year, it acts like a dormant volcano. The force of power and control seems to have faded, and complacency is the law of the land. But beneath the surface, the devastation is growing. In a day or two around that day Pluto station will go direct (October 13, 2025, 7:52 PM PDT, 1°22′ Aquarius) is the most likely time of the outbreak.

A few years ago, we stopped at an animal shelter to pick out a companion kitten for Bodhi, a recent feline addition to our family. I imagined a marmalade kitten named Max; within an hour we were home with a straggly brown tabby we promptly named Spike.
I have a very special kitten in my heart, but with a smarter mind that realizes correct one.

That’s why I love the desert: it’s so empty, the sky is so big, and I’m free to do anything and be anyone. My real life is filled with beloved possessions; I love my creature comforts. But there’s no doubt that “stuff” stresses us out in many ways, as we pay for it, store it, and maintain it. It can be a common fantasy to want to leave everything behind and start over in a new place, with a big, empty slate and endless possibilities.
There comes a time when even prized possessions lose their usefulness. The emotional connections they represent may need to be released, or we simply want to lighten the burden of our journey ahead. as Venus trine Pluto (October 14, 2025 4:45 PM PDT, 1°22′ Libra and Aquarius) Don’t be surprised if you suddenly feel like getting rid of things and creating more space for yourself this week.
“Yes” woman
Every now and then, I’m inspired to say “yes” more. This happened a few years ago when I read The Year of Yes by Shonda Rhimes, which details the miracles that have resulted from saying yes to more things in her life. It happened again the other day, when a YouTube video popped up in my feed about how creators’ lives are fatefully positively impacted by saying “yes” to more things.
The granddaddy of these affirmations is Danny Wallace’s 2005 memoir “Yes Man,” which recounts how a chance encounter on a bus led him to vow to say “yes” to everything for an entire year. The book details a journey of excitement and self-discovery, but also describes agreeing to everything from credit card offers to questionable social agreements, and the emotional toll that comes with losing control of one’s choices.
These are the potential advantages and disadvantages Sun square Jupiter (October 16, 2025, 10:43 PM PDT, 24°06 Libra and Cancer): Embrace the excitement of Jupiter’s big “yes” and new possibilities, but the dangers of saying “yes” to too much or to things that are not helpful, healthy, or safe.
But how about this: next week (October 24), the Sun will square Pluto, curbing prosperity. Any excesses or poor choices you make this week can be brought under control. This week, maybe say a few more “yes”s—but know that Pluto’s raised palm is coming soon!

But it’s a water sign and more susceptible to emotional damage than it cares to admit. when Mercury meets Mars Here (October 19, 2025, 11:51 PM PDT, 19 degrees 11 minutes Scorpio), expect to be more easily offended than usual and less likely to turn the other cheek.
Of course, this is a possibility that needs to be carefully avoided.

There is a revelation at work here, and that is the other side of Mercury and Mars – the courage to open up and tell the truth with vulnerability and humility. The Scorpio part is very fair, not everyone you meet deserves you to be so open. But this is the best gift you can give to someone who has earned your trust.
