Venus, the planet of happiness enters Taurus and this week’s Garden of Earthly Delights (March 30, 2026 at 9:01 a.m. to April 23). After an exciting yet exhausting Aries transit, Venus — and us — would be forgiven for wanting to curl up on the couch with a good book and a snack.
There is a time and place for self-improvement and struggle. But Venus in Taurus celebrates the joy available to us. How beautiful the morning sun is on a napping cat; the sounds of loved ones; the smell of baking bread. What else do we need money for when we have so much wealth?
So, take a break—but don’t get too comfortable. Venus will square Pluto in two days, bringing the intensity you want to wake up to.

this Full Moon in Libra (April 1, 2026, 7:12 PM PDT, 12 degrees 21 minutes Libra) indicates that relationships and communication are under close scrutiny this week. What do you seek in relationships with others? How can you change your outlook and behavior to be more loving and accessible to the people you love? With this full moon squaring Jupiter and opposing Saturn, how can you truly hear what others have to say, especially when the message is difficult? How do you set personal boundaries that are ultimately best for a healthy relationship?
The Full Moon is the revelation point in the 29-day lunar cycle, The pregnancy that was conceived at the last New Moon (in this case, March 18th in Pisces) is very clearly visible to us. But this is also an echo of the last new moon in Libra on October 21, 2025, and the culmination of the lunar home cycle that began with the new moon in Libra on October 2, 2024.
Cycles within the lunar cycle… We are accustomed to setting goals at each new moon, but if we only think about what can be accomplished in a 29-day period, our hopes are necessarily limited to small, immediately achievable goals. Indeed, life is not like that. Making choices, setting goals, planting our flag in the soil… these are the moments when we activate powerful forces that continue to send concentric circles through the waters of our lives – and in the case of this Full Moon, our closest relationships.

It is generally accepted that in order to successfully navigate the world we must “play the game” and play it in a very specific way. For now, this makes sense, but it depends somewhat on your view of success. What happens if you “succeed” in the ways prescribed by others, but not in the ways that truly matter to you?
Mercury in Pisces prioritizes kindness, spontaneity, and acceptance, speaking in our natural voices, and signing our real names, not just our legal ones. It uses intuition to determine what we are after and pursues it with absolutely no skill.
This week, Mercury trines Jupiter for the last time (April 3, 2026, 4:28 AM PDT, 15°57′ Pisces, Cancer); the first is on February 16, and the second is on March 8. This makes the last one especially important because we can look back and ask ourselves if we see a through-line connecting these three moments—a conversation, a decision, an idea, or a realization that develops over time, like a Polaroid photo that finally emerges with clarity.
Don’t despise the heroine
It’s easy to think of Venus as a lightweight planet, an inconsequential party girl who eats candy and wears a furry scarf. But if you doubt her power, consider how many decisions in our lives originate from her realm: desire—whether for love, pleasure, money, or social acceptance.
So, while last week we had a somewhat virtual description of aspects involving powerful Saturn and Pluto, this week Venus has just caught our attention in her home sign of Taurus.
Venus will be punished Pluto This week (April 3, 2026, 3:38 PM PDT, 05°15′ Taurus-Aquarius), when Pluto aspects another planet, it tears away anything that doesn’t fit that planet, or doesn’t serve the integrity of its highest expression. It’s fitting, I suppose, that my normally lovely neighborhood is being torn apart like Pluto and wires are being buried. It’s a loud, dirty, destructive process, both physically and psychologically. Now, Venus, who has just entered Taurus, will long for calm, quiet mornings with birds chirping and people walking dogs and babies. But Pluto in Aquarius (the sign of community) insists that noise and dirt are the appropriate price to pay in order to ensure that wires don’t cause fires, keep the community beautiful, and hopefully safer.

We’re used to thinking of Aries as a symbol of relentless enlightenment and bold progress. But don’t think of fellow cardinal sign Cancer as a powerful influence. It represents not only the sweetness of the nursery, but also the warriors of the fireside. This is the sign you can rely on to protect you as you move in new directions.
as Sun in Aries square Jupiter in Cancer (April 5, 2026, 3:22 PM PDT, 16°08′ Aries-Cancer), their combined power can be energizing, irritating, or a mixture of both. The difference between them is mainly one of style. Aries won’t hesitate or ask for permission, moving forward boldly without apologizing. Cancer, on the other hand, is more cautious, thinking about how its actions will affect and possibly even jeopardize the things and people it holds dear.
But the Sun-Jupiter aspect is a huge motivator, and this week, it’s time to think big and recruit others to join you in your pursuits. When faced with a leadership challenge, the Aries solution is to set an example, jump on a stallion and run off into the distance, daring us to catch up. But as a cautious Cancer might say, “Someone has to protect our homes and families while you gallop off into the unknown!” Both are true—and both are necessary to inspire the rest of us to succeed.
