Roll the Dice – Big Sky Astrology

dice
Mars square the Nodes of the Moon This week (November 24, 2025 at 5:32 AM PST) 14°32′ Sagittarius and Pisces/Virgo. Mars in Sagittarius moves us away from the perfectionism of the South Node in Virgo and into the realm of faith, imagination and possibility of the North Node in Pisces. Even small steps toward our dreams can pay off—even if they don’t look exactly like we imagined.
When we talk about the North Node, it’s a challenge to allow ourselves to enjoy the way forward, and it represents something we’re not quite comfortable with yet. In Pisces, the North Node path means taking a leap of faith, taking us on a winding path rather than a narrow path. For those who prefer the established and practical path, which is not always comfortable, the South Node is in Virgo.
But Mars square in Sagittarius asks: Do you want to stick to your calendar and spreadsheets? Or does focusing on it absolutely risk missing out on what your soul wants to be? Mars in Sagittarius loves rolling the dice on new adventures, and they can actually take you further down the road to faith and magic.

love story
Mercury conjunct Venus This week (Monday, November 24, 5:52 PM PST, 22°45′ Scorpio) about whimsical Sabian symbols, The rabbit turns into a fairy, Channel their magic into transformative Scorpios. Through the things we love and how we tell the story of love, we encounter Scorpio’s opportunity for metamorphosis.
What do you really want to be? In particular, what do you want in the area of life represented by Scorpio in your chart? The answer may be easier to find when Mercury is conjunct Venus.
Some clues to our desires may be as direct and to the point as we would expect from Mercury in Scorpio. But some will come true through the unfathomable premonitions of Venus in Scorpio.

More – but not too much
Many years ago, after a hearty Mexican lunch and a few margaritas, my husband and I almost bought a house. Every great adventure seems like a better idea when you’re under the influence of nachos and tequila.
Venus trines Jupiter (November 26, 2025, 8:31 AM PST) It felt very much like a big, festive, sumptuous lunch, complete with cocktails and dessert. Venus symbolizes the things we desire, and Jupiter is the “give me more” planet. With both of these tied up, watch your spending, especially on home luxuries and even home.
Fortunately, Venus trines Saturn same day (November 26, 3:48 pm PST). We did eventually make an offer on that house, but ended up backing out when we came to our senses. Likewise, if you were overworked this morning, Saturn will help you wake up this afternoon!

authority
When Saturn is retrograde in a natal chart, it often indicates that a person grew up with relatively little outside authority. Sometimes a parent disappears from the photo, or fades somewhat into the background. They may be a latchkey child, or have had the responsibility of caring for a sibling since childhood.
When Saturn is retrograde—which it is for nearly half of the year—we are left to rely on our own leadership and authority to set boundaries, rules, and responsibilities for ourselves.
This week, as Saturn goes direct (November 27, 2025, 7:51 PM PST, 25°09′ Pisces), we will likely see the authorities in our lives – some at the Thanksgiving table – flexing their muscles and trying to enforce their rules. But during the months that Saturn has been retrograde, we have internalized our own rules, our own authority, and are less willing to take orders from others.

moving parts
I love traveling, but whenever I do I feel vaguely beleaguered. While a change of scenery would be wonderful, I lived in constant fear of losing things or leaving them behind, as if I was moving too fast in an unfamiliar environment and would lose my mind if I didn’t strap it on.
Sagittarius is the sign of the wanderer, the traveler, and the Sun’s annual passage here is suited to leaps of faith and exploration. But when the moon enters its orbit In the first quarter, Pisces is easily distracted.
The waxing moon always urges us to instinctively move forward and take a step forward. However, this particular warning comes with a caveat – err on the side of caution and ask what Feel

bottle of genie
I have chosen my dream house. It’s a small, shabby beach house located on a desirable stretch of beach in a fairly remote hamlet on the central coast of California. Suppose one day the gods see fit to grant my wish. On a cold, rain-drenched morning, a massive mudslide closed the main highway through town, stranding me exactly where I wanted to be.
We have our desires, and even if we succeed in conjuring them, they can be complicated by harsh realities and isolation that we don’t foresee.
In short, this is Venus Opposing Uranus in Magical Scorpio (Unexpected) Happening in down-to-earth Taurus (November 29, 2025, 6:48 PM PST, 29°05′ Scorpio-Taurus). The desires we’re intent on manifesting could possibly end cutting up us off from connecting with others, and with the world at large. Wishing for a change in our current circumstances might open a genie’s bottle of drama.
The ultimate goal of this opposition is somewhere in between—a dream that satisfies our desires while preventing us from becoming too complacent. As Venus opposes Uranus in Scorpio this week, it will find a way to prove that even magic has its limits and is subject to unforeseen interventions from the visible world.

the power of song
All art has the potential to elevate us, heal us, and bond us more closely with others. As Venus trine Neptune (November 30, 2025, 12:48 AM PST, 29°24 Scorpio-Pisces), it’s easier than usual to call upon our talents and loving hearts to build a beautiful, uplifting, and healing bridge between ourselves and another person (or maybe a special someone).

exciting stranger
when Venus in Sagittarius (Nov. 30, 2025, 12:14 pm PST, through Dec. 24), we’re enchanted by the novel, different, or foreign. If you spend a lot of time memorizing every inch of your home and every quirk of the people you share it with, you might be craving new foods, new company, or just a change of scenery. Sagittarius is a wandering sign, and Venus in this sign loves to travel—literally, or just emotionally.
While Venus is in Sagittarius, we can gain enjoyment from the unfamiliar even if we don’t venture far from home. Try cooking a new dish from an unfamiliar cuisine. Download an app that can help you learn some foreign language phrases. Study the map carefully and plan future adventures. And keep your eyes and ears open for those happy little moments when a loved one of many years suddenly becomes an exciting stranger.
