Dear friends,
Welcome to eclipse season, the Year of the Fire Horse, and the beginning of a new 35-year Saturn-Neptune cycle.
The New Moon in Aquarius will usher in these events on Tuesday, February 17, 2026 at 7:00 AM ET. This chart – you can scroll down to see it! – is a very tight, highly concentrated “bundle” pattern with almost all the planets clustered between 4 degrees Aquarius and 24 degrees Aries, and hidden in the 12th, 1st, and 2nd houses of the chart when cast in Washington, DC.
Many planets are in doublets or triplets: pairs or triplets on the same degree of the same sign, making all the same aspects in quick succession. These include the perfect conjunction of the Sun and Moon at 28 degrees 49 minutes Aquarius; Vesta and Mars both in Aquarius 19; Venus and the North Node both at 8 Pisces, and Athena at 7 Pisces; Saturn and Neptune both at 0 Aries (in preparation for marriage on February 20); and Ceres, Chiron, and Eris joining hands at 20, 23, and 24 Aries respectively.
Because the planets in Aquarius, Pisces, and Aries are so close together, the only big structure in the New Moon eclipse sky is the T-shape formed by Juno in Capricorn and Jupiter in Cancer, as well as Chiron and Ceres in Aries. This T-square shoots destructive energy into the mid-Libra part of your natal chart. Meanwhile, another outlier, Uranus in Taurus, is still conjunct the beheading star. The truth is, it’s anyone’s game.
Get ready for more shocks, surprises, breakthroughs, and mysteries to be revealed. And the disruption of norms and expectations: everything we’ve seen in the world since Neptune, the god of dreams, passed through the fog and entered Aries on January 26th – is now more intense! Now that we’re officially entering eclipse season and entering the Fire-Horse period in lunar astrology, the skies are only getting more passionate and insistent.
The last Fire Year of the Horse occurred in 1966, a time of protest movements and social unrest in the United States. Fire Horse people are charismatic, unpredictable, bold and lively. In the year ahead, we will be forging new paths together, and (thankfully!) opening them up quickly. This has been a great year for reinventing yourself.
Among other things: On Friday, February 20, three days after the New Moon Eclipse, Saturn and Neptune will marry at the World Point at 0 Aries: 0 degrees 45 minutes to be exact. The God of Structure and the God of Dreams meet only once every 35 years, and this is their first encounter in the entire zodiac. In addition to seeding the new 35-year cycle around psychological work of individuation and awakening, Saturn and Uranus will activate all of our Draconian charts, which speak to our personal mission and life purpose.
