Chapter 325 New Moon in Sagittarius: A Slow Celebration!

Adventurous new moon season in Sagittarius gets off to a bit of a nervous start this week as the Sun squares off Saturn and Neptune. When Venus and Saturn meet in difficult aspects, relationships and values ​​are tested. We celebrate the summer solstice as the Sun enters Capricorn, and April answers listener questions about being born on a new or full moon. Also: a lesson in patience, designed to be more productive and then rest, with nowhere to go but up.

[1:20] Moon report! The New Moon in Sagittarius (December 19 at 5:43 PM PST) is at 28 degrees 24 minutes Sagittarius. This new moon is in the Sabian symbol 29 Sagittarius, A fat boy mows his lawn on an elegant suburban street. Protect your energy and expect that any assignments or any clarity you hope to gain will be hard-won and may take a while before you see it.

[4:00] The Sun is squaring Saturn (December 16 at 8:33 pm PST) at 25° 28′ Sagittarius-Pisces. Use this time to plan and prepare for what you want to accomplish at the new moon rather than trying to actually do it.

[5:04] The Sun is squaring Neptune (December 20 at 5:02 PM PST) at 29° 24′ Sagittarius-Pisces. Expect to feel exhausted and maybe a little confused or unclear about what you want to accomplish with this new moon cycle. If you find that you have no energy, don’t be too hard on yourself.

[6:25] Lunar Phase Family Cycle (LPFC). The first quarter (first action point) of the LPFC will occur on September 18, 2026 at 25°57′ Sagittarius. This LPFC Full Moon (Point of Awareness) will occur on June 18, 2027 at 27°33′ Sagittarius. The last quarter month (final action point) of the LPFC will then occur on March 17, 2028 at 27°53′ Sagittarius.

[8:39] Void Period (VOC) Lunar cycle. The Moon trines Neptune (December 17, 7:24 AM PST). VOC lasts 1 hour and 14 minutes before entering Sagittarius (8:38 AM PST). Use this VOC Moon to make a daily habit of connecting with the Divine and observing the messages being delivered to you.

[10:07] The Moon squares Neptune (December 19 at 7:41 PM PST). VOC lasts 1 hour and 11 minutes before entering Capricornus (8:52 PM PST). Consider spending a quiet evening at home doing something imaginative and relaxing.

[11:12] Venus squares Saturn (December 20, 9:09 PM PST) at 25°37′ Sagittarius-Pisces. Venus in aspect to Saturn often brings delays or disappointments, but sometimes the lesson is patience, and in the case of Saturn in Pisces, acceptance.

[12:47] The Sun enters Capricorn (December 21 at 7:03 AM PST). Happy winter solstice! Happy New Year! Happy Midsummer! Solstice in Capricorn and Cancer is a wonderful time of stillness, which is what a solstice literally means: the sun stands still. The Capricorn Solstice is the beginning of Capricorn Season (December 21, 2025 to January 19, 2026). The sun is lowest in the sky at noon. There is nowhere to go but up.
