Let the dough rest
In recent years, I have spent a lot of happy time making bread. When the dough kneading becomes counterproductive, there is a point in the process when it gets tight, tough and refuses to shape the dough. So you have to let it rest. Cover it with a towel and leave it on the counter for about an hour and a half. Go and have a cup of tea and love cats. When you come back you will find that you and the dough are happier and more relaxed.

Every year, when The sun enters Gemini (May 20, 2025, pdt 11:55 am), a sign for excursioners, I found myself eager to do road trips. It is a family tradition, which is to visit family members in a Los Angeles station wagon in the late 1960s.
I love those trips, quarreling along open roads for days at a time. A luxury for days spent in that caring car womb, you can only read comic books and watch the landscape change throughout the mile. When you were young, you instinctively felt safe with the others behind them. All you have to do is sit down and entertain yourself, and the world drifts through, filling you with adventures and endless possibilities as wide as the sky of the desert.
In 1971, a few years after my father died in a car accident, my mother, my brothers and sisters, I set out to leave where we all were born and raised and live in California. This time, my mother had to deal with driving trivial matters alone and she often became tired. I remember a withered afternoon nap under a highway overpass in the middle of nowhere, when we woke miraculously like a creepy stranger approaching our car. Adventure and a broad sense of space have given way to an unstable sense of our vulnerability.
This week, soon after, it enters Gemini, Sun tries Pluto ((May 24, 8:55 AM PDT), leaning against the shadow side of the open road. It’s not only sinister for strangers in the shadows. As adults, this is also our control over another driver, and it is also the uneasiness we can feel. With the Gemini season sunshine, Pluto is behind the steering wheel. We may desire to get on the road, but it is not necessarily the comfort of passengers rather than drivers.

Venus and Mars tell a passionate story, where beauty and happiness satisfy the desires of the body. This week, Venus in Aries meets Mars in three aspects of Mars running in Leo (May 22, 2025, 12:42 AM PDT, 15.59 Aries and Leo).
