Happy New Year and all the best! – Anne Ottley Astrology

Dear friends,

Warm wishes for a Merry Christmas to all who are celebrating, and a Happy Winter Solstice to all on Earth! Last Sunday, December 21, at 10:03 a.m. ET, the Sun crossed the axis of the world and entered the constellation Capricornus: the darkest day of the year for those of us in the Northern Hemisphere – The lightest for our neighbors to the south.

I discuss the Solstice Chart in the latest Weekly Weather on my YouTube channel: click to watch the video, or scroll down to see the chart image! As a seasonal portal chart, this chart governs the next three months of life on our planet, until the Spring Equinox on March 20, 2026.

This chart has several interesting features. The Moon is out of bounds with Venus and Mars, and it is worth noting that there are three major planets in the chart at World Point – not only the Sun at 0 degrees Capricorn, but also Jupiter at 22 and a half Cancer, Chiron at 22 and a half Aries, and Neptune just half a degree from the 0 Aries threshold. This was an important moment for us, a period in our lives that we will be talking about for a long time to come. A global event!

When the chart is projected onto Washington, D.C. (the chart that governs the entire United States because our nation’s capital is there), we find a cluster of planets in Sagittarius and Capricorn in the eleventh house of groups, humanitarian ideals, technological advancement, and the United States Congress. These are contested areas: know where you stand, and work to reconcile Sagittarius and Capricorn perspectives, freedoms, and the rule of law. To learn more about Solstice charts and future seasons, I invite you to watch my free video on YouTube.

We are also preparing for a future annual webinar, Setting Goals for 2026 [ETA: here’s the link to purchase the recordings and slides!] It will be held on Monday, December 29 at 7:30 pm ET. If you’re interested but can’t make it in person, feel free to sign up! The recording and slides will be sent to all students the day after class.

Take care everyone – and wishing you all the greatest love and light!

Big hug,
Anne
